The Master’s Hammer and Chisel is an innovative resistance-training system built on Sagi and Autumn’s own expert muscle-sculpting methods. Using just a few dumbbells, a bench or stability ball, and a chin-up bar or a resistance band with a door attachment kit, you’ll perform workouts that incorporate three training phases that are essential to total-body transformation, known as SSP Training.

 

 

The Workouts

  1. SAFETY VIDEO- (3:17 minutes) Sagi and Autumn show you what equipment you need and how to get the most from your workouts.
  2. HAMMER PLYOMETRICS- (30 Min.) This jump training workout will use your entire body to create force, speed, and power
  3. ISO SPEED HAMMER-(25 Min.) A tempo training workout that uses speed and isometric holds to create strength and grow muscle.
  4. TOTAL BODY HAMMER-(45 Min.) A hypertrophy workout focused on pyramid-style sets to maximize strength and muscle growth.
  5. MAX HAMMER STRENGTH-(40 Min.) Start with a pre-fatigued muscle, finish with a maximum lift. Increase strength, power, and muscular development.
  6. HAMMER POWER- (40 Min.)This intense powerlifting-inspired workout will increase speed, reactive strength, and power.
  7. HAMMER CONDITIONING-(30 Min.) A workout based on compound movements that will improve stability, coordination, and strength.
  8. CHISEL BALANCE-(40 Min.) A total-body workout creating stabilization, muscular endurance, and core strength.
  9. ISO STRENGTH CHISEL-(35 Min.) An intense resistance workout using isometric holds and flexibility to increase strength.
  10. CHISEL ENDURANCE-(35 Min.) Increase muscular endurance and strength in this time-under-tension workout.
  11. CHISEL CARDIO- (40 Min.) This cardiovascular resistance routine will increase heart rate, circulation, and burn an intense amount of calories.
  12. CHISEL AGILITY-(40 Min.)  A challenging cardio workout that will help you move quickly, improve coordination, and create greater stabilization.
  13. TOTAL BODY CHISEL-(36 Min.) This full-body resistance workout focuses on creating lean muscle and strength.
  14. 10 MIN AB HAMMER WORKOUT- This intense powerlifting-inspired workout will increase speed, reactive strength, and power.
  15. 10 MIN AB CHISEL WORKOUT- This core-crusher will transform your midsection, without ever getting on the floor.

Delux Workouts:

  1. Hammer Build Up- (30 Min.) Five exercises wokr five muscel groups to hammer muscular definition, strength, and stamina.
  2. Power Chisel- (30 Min.) Get ripped from head to toe with hardcore resistance training, isometric holds, and explosive plyometrics.
  3. Leg Hammer- (20 Min.) Fire up your quads, hamstrings, glutes, and calves for maximum strength and power.
  4. Glute Chisel- (20 Min.) Quicky sculpt a round, firm backside and hard-to-tone inner thighs for a lower body that makes jaws drop.

WORKOUT CALENDAR

What I liked about The Master’s Hammer and Chisel calendar is that you are mostly alternating days between Autumn and Sagi.  They are both great triners, but I enjoy Autumn’s workouts a little better since I feel like she is a mom and understand what a woman’s body need to tone and tighen.  Thats not to say that Sagi doesn’t know, I just personally like working out with Autumn a little better.

Once you are done with your first 60 days you then have the option to follow either a Hammer Calendar or a Chisel Calendar where you workout with just one trainer for 30 days.

Is There A Modifier?

Yes, there is a modifier in every workout to help you get started with the program.  They also show you what to do or use if you don’t have all the equipment.

Equipment Needed

For The Master’s Hammer and Chisel there is some required equipment and some recommended equipment.

Required:

  • Bench or Stability Ball (I used a Stability Ball)
  • Weights (I started with 5lbs and finished with 15lbs)
  • Resistance Band or Towel
  • Chin Up Bar or Bands with Door Attachment

Recommended:

  • Yoga Mat
  • Chin- Up Max

Nutrition Guide and Meal Plans

What I love about The Master’s Hammer and Chisel nutrition guide and meal plans is that if follows very similar to the 21 Day Fix meal plans.  It uses the same simple portion control containers and you calculate your caloric intake basically the same.

Start by Figuring Out your Plan

Using the chart above, you want to figure out what your calorie target is for your body.  Everyone starts in a different spot and there for needs a different amount of calries and macronutrients to maintain or loose weight in a healthy and safe way.  Once you calculate your calorie target you use the chart below to learn how many of each container you get to eat each day.

Using The Portion Control Containers

Once you figure out how many of each container you are allowed each day you can fill them (I usually stuff them full) making sure you can still get the top on when you are done.

I love that with The Master’s Hammer and Chisel Nutrition Program you don’t have to count or calculate calories.  If it fits in your container you get to eat it! You will actually be surprised with just how much food you get to eat every day with each of these containers.  It’s also very important to make sure you always get in every container.  There were days that I wasn’t sure I was going to be able to eat all the food that is allowed.

The containers are BPA- Free, microwave and dishwasher safe. I honestly never felt deprived while strickly following the program.

  • Green= Vegetables
  • Purple= Fruit
  • Red= Protein
  • Yellow= Starches and Treats
  • Blue= Healthy Fats (cheese, nuts, avocado, etc)
  • Orange= Oils and Seeds (salad dressing, chia seeds, etc)

Shakeology Counts as a Protein

In my opinion, Shakeology is a great way to get in a healthy protein each day along with essential vitamins, nutrients, and power foods.

You Even Get TREATS!!

For every 2 yellow (starch) containers you don’t eat, you get treat.  However you don’t want to go above 3 treats a week.  The treat should be around the 100-250 calorie range. My favorite are a glass of wine, Halo ice cream, or a twix bar.

I’m sure 3 glasses of wine might not be enough for some of us mamas, but remember pizza is on the plan also, so it is all about moderation.

Results

I started The Master’s Hammer and Chisel after completing one round of the 21 Day Fix.  I wanted to build lean muscle and knew that lifting weights was the only way to do it. There is a large theory that women who lift weights will get bulky.  However, as women we don’t have enough testosterone to build bulky muscle. We, instead, will build long lean muscles.  These are the type of muscles we want, since muslces is what gives us the toned look, and muscles will burn more calories than fat.

During the 60 days I lost 9lbs and 12 inches from all over my body.  You can see that my core is tighter and my abs are starting to show.
