We just found out that there is a new program coming out soon from Beachbody and Joel Freeman.  You may remember Joel Freeman as one of the co-creators and trainers of Core De Force.  LIIFT4 will have you working your booty off just 4 days a week.  Its no-nonsense format will have you moving and sweating for only 30-40 minutes.

What is LIIFT4?

LIIFT4 is a no-nonsense combination of weightlifting and high intensity (HIIT) cardio to build muscle and scorch fat.  The moves are based on classic lifting techniques that let you isolate, stabilize and focus each rep on the muscle group you’re working.  Every workout ends with a core routine for a full body build and burn that leaves you shredded.  There are no gimmicky moves, no over complicated routines and no opportunity for boredom because you’ll never do the same workout twice.

Check out this teaser to get a better idea of the program.

Who is LIIFT4 meant for?

  • Women looking to tone and sculpt
  • Men looking to build and shred
  • Anyone with a baseline of fitness
  • Anyone looking to pack in what would normally take you an hour and a half in the gym in just about 30 minutes

What makes LIIFT4 Unique?

  • You will be working out just 4 days a week.
  • Each workout is only about 30 minutes
  • You get 32 different workouts recorded in real time
  • Because you will be building muscles the Beachbody Performance line is built into the nutrition plan.

How long are the workouts?

Each workout varies from week to week. The first 6 weeks is the BUILD phase with lifting and HIIT cardio combined workouts that are about 30 minutes long on average.

The last 2 weeks is the SHRED phase where you still have the lifting component but you increase the HIIT component of the workouts, increasing the range of time to about 30-40 minutes.

What equipment will I need?

  •  A set of light, medium, and heavy weights
  • Or, you can substitute by modifying with resistance bands

Is there a modifier?

There will be a modifier where resistance bands are used in place of dumbbells. There will also be a lower intensity modified movements for most of the HITT (high intensity interval training) exercises

What will the nutrition plan look like?

When I have more information on this I will let you know, however it’s reported that it is also “no-nonsense.” I do believe though that it will follow the Portion Control Containers that most of the other programs use as well. We also know that Joel and the team has included the Performance Line Supplements into the nutrition plan so that you can maximize your results.
