Double Time- A Fitness Program for You and a Partner
Looking for a fun way to spend more time with the people in your life? Like a healthy activity designed with families in mind? Well, starting in November, you and a partner can team up for Beachbody and Tony Horton‘s latest collaboration — Double Time!
What is Double Time?
Double Time is Tony Horton’s very first fitness program that makes living a healthier lifestyle something you can do with another person. You and your spouse or a friend (or one of your own kids) will take on daily partner workouts and healthy eating for 30 days. Just having that person around is going to give you the motivation to complete the entire program — and help you build stronger bonds along the way!
What: 8 Family Friendly total-body workouts (all 35 minutes or less) that feel more like play and less like work!
When: Launching November 2017. (Sneak Peeks in October)
Who: Anyone at any fitness level (ages 8 and up) can do Double Time. Although I plan on modifying with for Reagan so she can do it with me.
How: When Double Time is available, you’ll be able to stream it on Beachbody On Demand or purchase the DVD program.
Equipment Needed: You will just need some kind of ball. There will be a Buddy Ball avalible for purchase, but Tony said any kind of sports ball (soccer ball, kick ball) should work.
Why Work out With a Partner?
Studies show that you’re more likely to succeed with a fitness routine when you work out with another person. You’ll encourage each other to show up. You’ll cheer each other on. And they’ll make it way more fun, too! Using the Beachbody Buddy Ball, you and your Double Time partner will communicate and rely on each other to complete every single move. You’ll be so focused on laughing and working together that you won’t be looking at the clock — so imagine how much easier it will be for you to stick with your new healthier habits!
Who can be your Partner?
Really anyone, your significant other, child, parent. Tony wanted to create a program that the whole family can get involved in. I hear so often from moms that they can’t find the time to work out because of their kids. Well this program changes all that. It is made for you to workout and communicate with your partner. As you are working out you are working together and building stronger communication skills and a deeper bond.
