Who doesn’t love a nice bowl of pasta with a creamy sauce?!? I know I LOVE digging in and just indulging. Unfortunately, this kind of eating doesn’t always lead to weight loss. But with this Creamy Avocado Sauce you can enjoy all the creaminess of a good pasta sauce without all the heavy cream.
While I was missing my creamy sauces while trying to lose weight I came across this healthier version that acts and tastes just like that creamy Carbonara sauce we all love so much, with much fewer calories, and the healthy fats that our body needs.
Add this Creamy Avocado Sauce on top of chicken, fish, zoodles, or spaghetti squash for a wonderful (healthy) meal that tastes like it should be a BILLION calories but isn’t!
- 1 tsp extra virgin olive oil
- 2 garlic cloves
- 2 tbsp fresh lemon juice, or more to taste
- 1 medium ripe avocado
- Water, or Almond Milk (for creamier version)
- Black pepper, to taste
Place all ingredients in a blender and blend until smooth.
