Avocado Toast with Paprika

Avocado toast is all the rage at healthy cafes across the country. Avocados are full of healthy fats and when slathered on whole-grain toast, they create a simple dish that’s packed full of nutrients and flavor. Finish your avocado toast with a pinch of paprika, or for a delicious hint of smokiness use smoked paprika. If you like a little heat, chili powder makes a nice alternative to paprika.

    • 1 medium ripe avocado mashed
    • 4 slices low-sodium sprouted whole-grain bread toasted (I love the Ezikiel bread) 
  •  tsp. paprika (or ½ tsp. chili pepper)


    1. Spread ¼ of avocado onto each slice of toast.
  1. Top with ¼ tsp. paprika.

4 Servings and about 163 calories per serving (depending on type of bread you use)
